The schedule, course selections, projected grades, favourites and eligibility results stay in this browser. They are never sent to Google Analytics or to a site backend.

Information kept on this device

The planner stores its draft schedule, grades and favourites in this browser's localStorage so they remain after a refresh. Clearing browser site data removes that draft. The site has no account system, database or server-side planner storage.

Automatic, limited analytics

On the exact production site https://classof27.ca, Google Tag Manager loads automatically and can run the site's published Google Analytics tag. There is no analytics opt-in prompt. Google may receive ordinary visit information such as the canonical homepage address and title, browser and device characteristics, language, screen size, session information and approximate geography. The Google tag may use first-party cookies whose names begin with _ga.

Analytics is used to answer two narrow questions: whether the planner was opened and whether someone used it. In addition to the ordinary page view, the site sends one event named planner_engaged after the first genuine interaction with the planner during a page load. That event has no fields beyond its name. It does not identify the control used or include a course, grade, school, program, result or search value.

The site's bootstrap reports only the canonical homepage address, never a visitor-supplied query string, fragment or referring URL. It grants Analytics storage while denying advertising storage, user data and personalization, and it disables Google Signals and advertising-personalization signals. The schedule, grade and favourite data stored by the planner are not read by the Tag Manager bootstrap or placed in its data layer.

Controls and retention

Because analytics starts automatically on production, the site does not provide an on-page analytics switch. Browser privacy features or content blockers may limit collection, and clearing this site's browser data removes its accessible first-party cookies as well as the locally saved planner draft. Analytics information already processed remains subject to the Analytics property's retention settings; this site's property is configured for the shortest available two-month user and event data retention period.

Google's role

Google processes Analytics data under its own terms and privacy practices. Google Tag Manager is also a separate production configuration system: a newly published container version can change which tags run, so access and publishing rights are kept restricted.
